Drive By Quick Review : San Saba Joe Ragsdale RV Park

Sheri and I did some advance scouting for our next RV park and (Llano River RV Park) on our way we drove through San Saba Texas and found this little gem in San Saba - literally in the little town.

Joe Ragsdale RV Park is the park. There is PRECIOUS little information about it on web. We speculate that the reason is that the park is owned by the city of San Saba, and well, basically a city ran institution.

You MIGHT find it on Google, maybe not. When we looked it only had a few references to it, none very useful, so we recommend calling a few days ahead of time.

On one side of the park is a city vehicle storage area which is not very scenic. But other than that, it looks very quiet and serene.

There was ONE camper in the park and the fellow told us it is $300/month ($15/day) and you get water, cable, wifi, electric, and sewer. The camper was a sportsman travel trailer and there looked to be plenty of room for longer units - this was maybe a 28 footer. He said it was very quiet except for Sunday when there is a tent church service. He had been coming to San Saba for about 5 or 6 years.

There looked to be a nice little picnic area with a covered pavilion. We did not get out of the car and do much investigation.

Anyway, based on our drive by review, this would not be a bad little park for your recreational vehicle and we'll put it on our radar screen for investigating San Saba and the surrounding area.

We've attached some pi
ctures so that you can get an idea of what this simple little campground looks like.
